MediaTEK release new generation 3G mobile chipset - MT6575, which is base on 40nm CMOS technology, and special for Android platform.
The MT6575 chipset is a single core Cortex-A9 solution with an unidentified 5-series PowerVR GPU on board and an HSPA modem. The 1GHz core probably won't win and benchmark competitions, but it's enough to push Android 4.0 to a qHD screen, power through 720p video and capture shots with an 8 megapixel sensor. It even is capable of supporting 3D displays and DTV broadcasts.
Lenovo A750 will be the first Android phone powered MTK MT6575 chipset, this phone will be release with about $200 price at end-February, here is the video of engineering sample.
The MT6575 chipset has powerful graphics capability, built-in Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX 5 GPU.
