My dog's better than your dog -- but only to me

domingo 24 de julio de 2011 18:06:35 America/Los_Angeles

It's high time we talk about the way we act and represent ourselves, both here at Android Sale and across the intertubes.  Cruise through any smartphone forums or blog comments, and you'll soon see a common theme.  We like to argue, sometimes to the point of acting the fool.  I'll admit -- I can get a bit snarky, and have probably caused an admin or two more trouble than I should, so I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular.  But I can bet that anytime I'm reading a story about LTE, I'll see people digging about price or downtime.  Or if it's about the EVO 3D, I'll read how Sprint's coverage "sucks."  I won't even get started on what a T-Mobile- or AT&T-based story turns into.  Well, here's a hint:

viernes 15 de julio de 2011 03:22:30 America/Los_Angeles

martes 28 de junio de 2011 19:03:29 America/Los_Angeles

Despite all the security breaches and malware scares we’ve had these past few months with the Android Market, Symantec, of Norton Antivirus fame, is still giving Android and iOS the advantage when compared to the security on desktop/notebook PC’s.

Symantec performed a mobile device security study and found that Apple and Google mobile OS’s are still more secure than Microsoft’s Windows at preventing “drive-by” app installs and malware often can’t obtain as many privileges as their desktop counterparts. Also, the fact that both mobile OS’s use signatures on their apps adds a layer of security you don’t normally see on PC’s.
